Digital cheetah

One of my first larger digital arts, it also took part in a previously used site design of mine. Looking back it is a rather decent one, although the face is a little weird, and like for long later, I did not quite get the colors right.

It was painted using two medicore quality jpegs portraying sitting cheetahs as references, I just did not have anything better. As I remember the hardest part was to figure out somewhat credibly the muscular build of a cheetah chest (Since cheetahs do not have collar bones, their front construction is different to that of other animals').
