Pheasant's Eye

Pheasant's Eye

A group of Pheasant's Eye flowers over Budaörs, Hungary. These are apparently one of the few early risers of the spring, it looks quite peculiar when these blossom all over the hillside without any interruption in the dry grass. Somewhat like dandelion, but these are much larger and more exotic. It was surprising for me since I had not seen these in such large groups before like there. Probably because the area was a bit off of the known trails, and no one could have ruined them. They are under national protection, but here I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't care.

Image was taken with my trusty old Olympus C2500L.
